Yes it's me and I'm back with a new blog post. First off let me say I am so sorry to all my readers. I have been a bit neglectful with my blogging this year. Turns our this wedding planning business is a lot harder and a bigger time sucker than I ever expected it to be. I bow down to all those amazing wedding planners out there who do it full time! As for blogging, YES I am still here but I don't think I will have many more posts up this year. With the wedding fast approaching I am not sure how much time I will have but I will do my best. I still love blogging and all of you who take the time to read it.
Moving on from my little life update, I have a new toy! For the last almost 3 weeks I have been trying out the Face Halo and I am now ready to share my thoughts. So what is a Face Halo you ask? The Face Halo is a new way to remove makeup. This little circular beauty is made up of HaloTech fiber strands which are made to dig deep and clear out your pores while tapping makeup. To use you just apply water and start to gently wipe away. I first heard about this product on Chloe Morellos facebook channel (I am a fan and I love her makeup tutorials and her ridiculous sense of humour). Chloe is part of the Face Halo family.
Now I am not going to lie when I first heard about this product I thought it really was a gimmick. The talk about the fibres being 100 times finer than human hair and how it takes of a full face of makeup in seconds I really wasn't sure about this product but I was interested. Upon running a google, watching a few more youtube videos I would not find one bad thing being said about this product. Not only was it removing makeup it is so much better for our environment to not waste so many eye pads or makeup wipes. That was it for me, I had to try it!
This product comes from the US but it was very reasonably priced and it came in the mail within 2 weeks which was awesome. I ended up paying $60 AUD inc shipping for 2 packs - you get 3 Face Halo's per packet. It came beautifully packed in these cute sealed packets.
I have been using these consistently over the last 3 weeks and I am still amazed. I have tried the Face Halo on light makeup days right through to when I have had a full heavy duty face on all night, liquid lipsticks, crazy liquid eyeliner that takes forever to come off. The Face Halo has taken all of these products off without any concerns, crazy scrubbing or additional products. The only downside to this product is the cleaning haha. After using you do need to give it a clean with soap to remove the makeup and stains. I have tried liquid soap wash, body wash and soap blocks and I have found soap blocks at the best. While it is easy to clean it is an additional step to your routine but for the reusable product I am ok with it! Then once a week it goes into the washing machine along with the whites and it comes out good as new.
So my final thoughts... is the Face Halo a game changer? Absolutely I think so! This is a fantastic product, I love that it feels so soft on my skin, it is easy to use and I do not need to put any additional products onto my skin - shout out to all my friends out there with sensitive skin! I also love the fact that this is so much better for the environment and when you add up the costs of makeup remover wipes and other removers you are going to save so much money in the long run.
I am in love with the Face Halo and it has become a new stable in my skin care regime and I highly recommend you going out and grabbing one!
