I absolutely adore Johnson's face cleansing wipes, I use these in both the one pictured here which is the night pampering for all skin types as well as the refreshing facial cleansing wipes for normal skin. These wipes are amazing, they remove even the most stubborn of make up and yet they are soft on the skin and do not irritate your eyes. It leaves your skin feeling clean, fresh and moisturised. I love using these at bed time if I have been out late and I am too tired to go through my regular skin care routine. I can even go without applying moisturiser afterwards and my skin still feels great the next day.
Both the day and night ones work just as well, the main difference is the fragrance. The night pampering ones have a beautiful Moonflower aroma which smells a lot like lavender - which is known for his relaxation and calming properties. I personally love the smell and how is lightly lingers on the skin but if you are not a big lavender fan I would stick with the day ones.
2. Benefit The POREfessional Pro Balm
This product claims to minimise the appearance of pores & fine lines and that it will provide a smoother-than-smooth skin and provide a silky base for make up. I have to say this product does exactly what it says it does. It feels fantastic and light weight on the skin and it really does help to fill in pores and lines to give you a smooth base for your make up. This product is oil free and also great to wear on its own if you just want to rock a matte smooth and natural look. I love this primer and it always gives me a perfect base for my foundation or BB cream and it goes well with every single foundation I own. This is a product I could not live without, benefit really know their primers.
3. Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Ok this eye shadow primer is pure gold! I personally have rather oily eyelids which is extremely frustrating, especially for someone like me who loves a nice matte finish to my make up. I have tried a few different eye shadow primers and this one personally for me is the best. I use this primer every day on my eyelids under my concealers or eyeshadows and it keeps that oil at bay. My eyeshadows go on a lot smoother, blend easier, doesn't crease and lasts all day.
4. Maybelline Dream Pure 8 in 1 BB Cream
This BB cream claims to do 8 things : Conceal imperfections, helps to protect against the appearance of blemishes, oil-free and non-greasy, minimise the appearance of pores, clarifies the skin look, conceals redness, to hydrate and smooth the skin and complement your natural skin tone. This product comes in 2 colours - light and medium as is adapts to your natural skin colour and it is also SPF15. This is a fantastic BB cream. it glides on smoothly, blends easily and also feels lightweight and natural. It is not-greasy and doesn't leave my skin feeling or looking oily and it also contains 2% Salicylic acid which is great for controlling breakouts. This is a light coverage product but for me this is enough for my everyday make up. I do prefer a light weight product for every day use that feels and looks natural. It's like your skin but better! I have tried multiple BB creams and I usually find them thick, oily, patchy or that my skin feels greasy. After I found this baby there was no going back. I will always have one of these in my make up bag.
5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Yep another Maybelline product haha. This under eye concealer is amazing and also works fantastic for highlighting. This concealer comes in 3 colours: fair, light or medium, I use fair as I am naturally very pale. This product is absolutely perfect for covering up those dark under eye circles. It is lightweight, its not too thick which makes it easy to blend and ensures it doesn't sit into any of your lines. It really does brighten up the under eye area and taking away those bags we all have from our busy lives. The packaging is also great, it has a wind up so you can get all the product out and it also has a sponge applicator making it easy to apply. I just dap a few dots where I want to conceal and blend with my warm fingers.
6. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
What can I say about this bad boy! This is hands down my favourite press powder of all time. I use this every day to set my BB creams or foundations and it also looks great on it's own over the top of moisturiser. It goes on smoothly, feels great on the skin and take away the oils and shine to give you that amazing matt finish. This is also a great skin tone powder to put on your eye lids for a natural eye look or a transition colour to blend eyeshadows into.
7. The Balm Cindy-Lou Manizer
So when I first received this product it was a lot darker than it seemed in the picture on the website and I was a little bit disappointed. This product is intended to add a subtle highlight / blush to the cheeks and I was hoping for an amazing highlighter but it is a bit too dark for me. One day I decided to use this as a blush and wow did I fall in love. This product is amazing, it is so beautiful in colour, its a peachy pink illuminating colour and adds a gorgeous glow to the cheeks like nothing I have ever used before. It applies so well, it is smooth and blends perfectly. The packaging is adorable and great quality and comes with a compact mirror inside. This would be a great blush for people as pale as I am but if you are a bit darker in skin tone this would be a perfect highlighter.
8. Benefit Gimme Brow
Now I know everyone knows and loves this one and I can completely understand why. This is an absolutely incredible product. I naturally have dark brows that are a bit thick but they do need to be tamed and a bit of filling in here and there. When I am going out in the evening or for a special occasion or if the mood strikes I will fill in my eye brows with shadow and pencil. But for every day use when I am rushing out the door I reach for my gimme brow. This product adds little fibres to your brows making them appear fuller, tames and holds those hairs in place and it is also tinted to add colour and it also comes in a light to medium or a medium to dark to suit all brow colours.
9. Maybelline Master Graphic Liner
The Maybelline Master Graphic Liner is a great product for anyone who loves a liquid liner and getting a perfect wing. We all know the troubles of liquid liners, getting the perfect shape, length and then getting the second eye to match. This eye liner is great for drawing straight lines and wings and would be perfect for beginners to liquid liners. It is packaged as a pen, has a felt tip end that feels very similar to a art liner and it has an angled tip to help draw thin and thick lines. I love to use this in a stamping motion to get a perfectly straight wing.
10. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
Mascara's.. now if there is one make up product I am insanely fussy over it's mascara. I personally am not a fan of water proof mascara as I feel it leaves my lashes feeling stiff and wiry and I don't like how much I have to rub my eyes to remove it. I was a bit hesitant over this purchase as I had brought the They're Real mascara as although it is the best water proof I have used I was really not a fan. One day I was visiting the Benefit Brow Bar at Myer in Perth (if you have not been to a Benefit Brow Bar - find one and make an appointment now it will change your life and your brows) and while waiting one of the lovely ladies offered to try some products on my eyes. This happened to be one of them and OMG I was blown away. This mascara offers amazing lift and curl, it is buildable without becoming gluggy and it leaves my lashes looking long, dark and amazing while feeling soft. This mascara has ruined all other mascara's for me, I could not recommend it enough. It is a must have in anyones make up bag.
